History
The Akbar’s Tomb history is something every visitors should know-
Creation of Akbar’s Tomb- On 3 October 1605, Akbar became sick with dysentery and passed away. After his death, his son Jahangir built the tomb between 1605 to 1613 and it is spread over 119 acres. The cost to build the tomb took 1,500,00 rupees.
Restoration of the Tomb- In 1905, British Viceroy George Curzon decided to repair Akbar's tomb to protect historical monuments in India.
