1. Swaminarayan Temple
One of the most visited ancient temples in Gujarat, Swaminarayan Temple is dedicated to Lord Narayan Dev. The temple is believed to be constructed as per the instructions are given by Swaminarayan in the year 1822. Adorned with intricate carvings and painted with beautiful colors and is believed to one of the finest examples to showcase the beauty of architecture in the nineteenth century. Inside the main sanctum of the temple, the deities are studded with precious ornaments and also with the beautiful clothes.

2. Sidi Saiyyed Mosque
Constructed in the year 1573, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque is widely known in the city as Sidi Saiyyed Ni Jaali. The place has never lost its charm and has gained much reputation in past some years and all the credit goes to its architectural grandeur and more specifically its ornate lattice works which are called as Jali in the colloquial terms. If you are a history buff and a photogenic then this is going to be one of the most liked places in Ahmedabad. When the state was under the control of British then this mosque was used as a government office but at present, this ancient mosque is under the protection of ASI.

3. Hutheesing Jain Temple
This two-storied spiritual architecture is designed with white marble and is dedicated to Dharmanath, the 15th Tirthankar of Jains. Its tiled courtyard is the other major attraction of the temple which is surrounded by a chain of Pergolas containing 52 shrines where each shrine is adorned with incomparable designs and also the intricate carvings. This stunning temple looks alike Dilwara Jain Temples in Rajasthan.

Historical Places
4. Sabarmati Ashram
An ultimate place where one can acquire calm and peace, Sabarmati Ashram is located on the banks of River Sabarmati. Gandhi Ashram, Satyagrah Ashram, and Harijan Ashram are the other names by which the place is called. Sabarmati Ashram was constructed by Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1915 when he returned to India from South Africa. At this ashram, Gandhiji performed various functions associated with animal husbandry, agriculture, and also the Khadi Udyog. Make a visit to this place and witness the reminiscences of the lifestyle of Gandhiji, his struggles, and other works related to Indian independence.

5. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial
During its construction time, the museum was used as British Cantonment but soon after independence, it became the residence of the governor. This huge architecture was constructed between 1618 and 1622 and at present, it serves as the museum where one can spot the belongings and the artifacts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was one of the great freedom fighters.

7. Kankaria Lake
Renowned as the largest lake in Ahmedabad, Kankaria Lake is situated in the southern region of the city and is believed to be an ideal picnic destination.
