Puja Performance:
The special puja and rituals take place in the inner sanctum of the temple around the triangular granite lingam of lord Kedar. All the rituals are done as per the instructions of the head priest. The head priest has learned these rituals and various puja steps through the great sage and seer Adi Shankaracharya who had laid down the rules way back. The committee of Kedarnath is responsible for organizing, booking, and performing these special pujas and rituals. These rituals are performed before the starting of the general puja Darshan in the morning.
It is a great idea to get the general puja quoting and plan your trip budget accordingly.
